We are all aware that our successful and healthy lifestyle is helping us live much longer, but our skin can show lines of time that has passed by

Here at The Hampton Wick Dental Centre we are able to help re-create that youthful look you once had to match the lifestyle you are currently enjoying.

Fillers and anti-wrinkle injections work beautifully when done well and they are safe. These treatments are not permanent – they last for a period of months and then require top-ups. Whilst this means that you can ‘try out’ a treatment to see if you enjoy the results, it also ensures that any results you don’t like can be allowed to ebb away.

The treatment aims to soften those harsh frown lines that make you look angry. Fillers can build enough lip definition and shape to make your lipstick more glamorous.

Completely stopping those terrible embarrassing underarm sweat patches, usually for 4-6 months at a time, is now possible. AND it is definitely for both men and women!

Facial Aesthetics FAQ

BOTOX® is the commercial tradename for Botulinum Toxin Type A.

Botulinum Toxin is derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum.

When injected into muscles, Botulinum Toxin has a local effect. It blocks transmission between the nerve endings and muscle fibres around the injection site to cause weakness of the nearby muscle.

You can receive Botox injections every 4 months.

With repeated treatments, thinning of the muscles occurs, which produces longer lasting results.

You should notice an improvement in your frown lines within 3 to 7 days, the effects of which can last up to 4 months. However, results may vary.

After a period of time, your frown lines will begin to reappear as the effects of Botox wear off.

Injections with Botox is a treatment that is used to treat wrinkles, mostly in the upper face and around the eyes. The procedure involves injecting purified Botulinum Toxin into specific muscles of the face, weakening these muscles so that they cannot pull on the underlying skin; it is this repeated pulling that causes the skin to wrinkle.
Dermal fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Selphyl) may also be used to correct wrinkles, but their primary purpose is to plump facial features (lips, cheeks, chin, and other areas) that have lost volume due to aging.
Dermal fillers are an injectable substance made from natural and synthetic material and have been developed for injection into the skin to restore its youthful appearance. Over 30 million people across the world have been successfully treated. The main type of dermal fillers in the market, are a soft gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.
Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips, shape facial contours and revitalise the skin. The most common areas treated are:
  • The nose to mouth lines (nasolabial fold)
  • Lines around the mouth (perioral lines and oral commissures)
  • Natural lip enhancement and definition of the border
  • Natural cheek augmentation
  • Also can be used for replacing soft tissue volume loss and scar corrections
  • Dermal fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Selphyl) may also be used to correct wrinkles, but their primary purpose is to plump facial features (lips, cheeks, chin, and other areas) that have lost volume due to aging
